Trevor Wesley France
On October 2, 1985 Trevor was born with two disabilities: First he has Downs Syndrome (and many disorders associated with Downs). Secondly he was born in Houston Texas. His mom immediately got him involved in early intervention programs. At age 1, he and his family moved to Baltimore Maryland. There he was again introduced to various speech, occupational and physical therapies. He is now 16, a sophomore, enrolled in a community-based program at Perry hall high School in Baltimore. He enjoys life skills, academic and work enclave programs there. He is an honor roll student.
Trevor loves music and dancing (head banging). His early influences were The Police, XTC, Steely Dan, and The Beatles. Later he was introduced to groups such as The Pixies, Jad Fair, Clang, and of course, Handshake Squad. His uncle's name is Robert C. Constable Jr. Trevor has no formal music or art training.
Trevor enjoys sports. He swims competitively with his local swim club. He plays soccer and baseball in an adapted league, and also soccer, bowling and softball (which he lettered in this year) with in his high School Allied Sports program.
Trevor's favorite pastimes include playing basketball, computer, card and board games and watching videos. Trevor recommends: The Kid with whom he identifies, Harry Potter and Shrek (currently on his 150th viewing). He enjoys reading Scooby Doo Mysteries and the Harry Potter Collection. Eating hamburgers, French fries, popcorn and ice cream is always pleasing to Trevor.
Trevor is a special kid who is always happy.
